Virginia Derqui is an Argentine artist whose large-format paintings, each executed using only two colors, explore the expansions and contractions of line, form, space, and volume.
Born in Buenos Aires in 1969, Derqui studied for ten years under the tutelage of Liliana Revuelta, who had been a student of Miguel Angel Vidal, co-founder, with Eduardo Mac Entyre, of the Generative Art Movement of Buenos Aires. In 2024, Derqui had a solo exhibited, curated by María Cristina Rossi, at Museo Emilio Caraffa in Córdoba, Argentina.
