VIRGINIA DERQUI

Virginia Derqui is an Argentine artist whose large-format paintings, each executed using only two colors, explore the expansions and contractions of line, form, space, and volume.

Born in Buenos Aires in 1969, Derqui studied for ten years under the tutelage of Liliana Revuelta, a student of Miguel Angel Vidal, co-founder with Eduardo Mac Entyre of the Generative Art Movement of Buenos Aires. In 2024, Derqui had a solo exhibition, curated by María Cristina Rossi, at Museo Emilio Caraffa in Córdoba, Argentina.
