MADALENA NEGRONE
BIOGRAPHY
Madalena Negrone is an Italian artist whose work explores scientific and metaphysical frameworks to give visual form to the hidden forces shaping our existence. Her ongoing series, Entangled, draws inspiration from quantum entanglement, translating concepts of invisible connection, simultaneity, and shared energy into visual form. While rooted in quantum physics, the work mirrors human relationships, capturing both the beauty and the chaos of deep interconnection.
Art critic Andrea Pompili notes that Negrone's work reflects a hypnotic, suspended reality: "Physical gravity does not intervene here... each of us can feel ourselves as interconnected threads."
Born and raised in Genoa, Italy, Negrone has painted from an early age. She studied under the tutelage of Gabriele Kutzke, a German-born painter and sculptor. Negrone's work has been widely exhibited in New York and internationally, including a 2023 solo exhibition at Milan's Museum of Art and Science and a 2026 group exhibition at Villa Arconati, curated by Diana Segantini. In 2024, she was featured in a prominent campaign and exhibition by the Italian fashion brand Aspesi.
Negrone’s paintings are held in the permanent collections of the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome and the Museum of Art and Science in Milan. Her work has been featured in Hyperallergic, Artribune, Il Sole 24 Ore, and Graphie magazine.
